I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.
At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.
after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D
They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.
They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!
Thank you Bough! :)
By now MinimOSD-Extra got a pretty advanced OSD.
Here it is in action:
- Changeable unit measurement (US, metric)
- Home alt
- Battery Percent
- Battery used mah
- Current Draw
- Time From Startup (cleared at takeoff to show exact flight time)
- OSD Menu
- Wind horizontal speed and direction, and also the average wind speed of the last few minutes.
- OSD on/off
- Switchable secound screen
- WP distance
- WP heading
- Crosstrack error
- Warning messages for Lost GPS fix, Stall, Overspeed, battery volt, battery Percent, RSSI
- Efficiency, glide distance & thermic notifier. 3 in one panel
- OSD Brightness
- HAM Call Sign
- After flight summary
- Trip distance
- Smoothened horizon
- Real heading
- Vertical speed
This functions can be turned on and off, and placed on different screens now, by the Config. tool.
Also RSSI, switching mode and channel and unit measurement, Stall speed warning, Overspeed warning, Battery warning volt, Battery percent warning, RSSI warning, can be set in new Config Tool.
We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.
Here is how it looks: (This video is a bit outdated, sorry. I will make a new one soon.)
The MinimOSD-Extra project is here: Link
This project is the developing version of the official Arducam OSD located here: Link
The latest stable version is: 2.2
The latest version can be downloaded from here: MinimOSD-Extra R800
CT is included. (The FW for Plane, Copter, Character upload and the character file is in the "FW & Char" directory inside CT directory)
We are sharing it to see videos you make using it! :)
Already done that, makes no difference...
I´ve got following issue: I get the low voltage warning even with full lipos. I have searched in the pixhawk log for voltage drops but canot find any under the set threshold.
I am using the latest arduplane software 3.2.3 and the R800 for the minim.
What is the reason?
We are flying with the MinimOSD extra but we are in need for an additional feature which is the "Top View Radar" like it is on the Fy-41AP, MFD, and Vector OSD.
I know there is not enough space on the minimOSD but we can remove some items and put the "Top View Radar" instead.
We would like to know who can help us to create that feature? it is vital for us.
You can code from:
You can see how it looks in a screenshot I posted here:
We will try it tomorrow and see how it works. Thanks for your help.
any chance you can give me some infor on what kind of video chip you are using on the AlceOSD?
AlceOSD looks very interesting. Looking forward to test it if it is open source.
It really does ;)
Ready for testing and contributing if its open source
Bom dia Miguel, eu espero que tudo esteja bem!
I have not updated my MinimOSD since this post back in June 2014 and was wondering if 126.96.36.199 & R800 Copter are stable, or should I be using a different build?
I use R800 minimosd extra and Turnigy IC-120NH Mini CCD Video Camera (NTSC).
OSD shows well but have flickering.
I have a flickering problem like:
Can someone help to fix it at minimosd extra firmware ?
I bought CUAV Mavlink minimosd for my CX20, APM 2.5.2 v5.0 stock firmware. I install to the UART Port, Tx and Rx crossed. connected to the Boscam TS5823 fpv and sj4000, both using external battery. everything works fine. OSD data and sj4000 video can be shown on the screen.
But it got one serious problem. every time when the GPS locked(steady green led light). the OSD text keep reboot, but the sj4000 video keep show up. The text keep rebooted forever.
Any step can fix this issue ? I changed many settings of the minimosd but issue still remain.
Thanks in sdvance for your help.
