I have started to add functions to MinimOsd code.

At first i did it for myself only. Added many functions i thought i need. Then opened this thread.

after a while, Pedro and later Miguel came, and things started to happen fast. :D

They have optimised the code and added even more things to it.

They have worked hard on CT, and it became a great tool!

Thank you Bough! :)

By now MinimOSD-Extra got a pretty advanced OSD.

Here it is in action:

Added:

- Changeable unit measurement (US, metric)

- Airspeed

- Home alt

- Battery Percent

- Battery used mah

- Current Draw

- Time From Startup (cleared at takeoff to show exact flight time)

- OSD Menu

- Variometer

- Wind horizontal speed and direction, and also the average wind speed of the last few minutes.

- OSD on/off

- Switchable secound screen

- WP distance

- WP heading

- Crosstrack error

This functions can be turned on and off, and placed on different screens now, by the Config. tool.

Also RSSI, switching mode and channel and unit measurement, Stall speed warning, Overspeed warning, Battery warning volt, Battery percent warning, RSSI warning,  can be set in new Config Tool.

We built in a new way of setting video standards. Now OSD does not guessing anymore :). You can set it fixed from CT. It is in "Video Mode" menu.

Here is how it looks: (This video is a bit outdated, sorry. I will make a new one soon.)

The MinimOSD-Extra project is here: Link

This project is the developing version of the official Arducam OSD located here: Link

The latest stable version is: 2.2

The latest version can be downloaded from here: MinimOSD-Extra R800

Username: MinimOSD_Extra

Password: Top_Secret

CT is included. (The FW for Plane, Copter, Character upload and the character file is in the "FW & Char" directory inside CT directory)

We are sharing it to see videos you make using it! :)

Enjoy

Cheers

Axel

Hi Luis,

AlceOSD looks very interesting. Looking forward to test it if it is open source.

Regards,

Pavel

It really does ;)

Ready for testing and contributing if its open source

Cheers

Bom dia Miguel, eu espero que tudo esteja bem!

I have not updated my MinimOSD since this post back in June 2014 and was wondering if 2.4.0.2 & R800 Copter are stable, or should I be using a different build?

Obrigado!

Hi,

I use R800 minimosd extra and Turnigy IC-120NH Mini CCD Video Camera (NTSC).

https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct...

OSD shows well but have flickering.

I have a flickering problem like:

https://code.google.com/p/minimosd-extra/issues/detail?id=115

https://code.google.com/p/minimosd-extra/issues/detail?id=55

Can someone help to fix it at minimosd extra firmware ?

I bought CUAV Mavlink minimosd for my CX20, APM 2.5.2 v5.0 stock firmware. I install to the UART Port, Tx and Rx crossed. connected to the Boscam TS5823 fpv and sj4000, both using external battery. everything works fine. OSD data and sj4000 video can be shown on the screen.

But it got one serious problem. every time when the GPS locked(steady green led light). the OSD text keep reboot, but the sj4000 video keep show up. The text keep rebooted forever.

Any step can fix this issue ? I changed many settings of the minimosd but issue still remain.

Thanks in sdvance for your help.

Update:

Fixed by upgrading firmware to 792. 726 sucks !

Another question:

Where can I donwnload the latest compiled pre-release firmware. Download section only has r726

Thanks

Just below the 2nd video at the top of the page there is a link to R800 with login instructions.

Regards,

Thanks. let me try
