Advice needed for batteries and frame ???

Hi , I am a newbie and in the process of making my first quad.
I had limited budget so could not buy things at once. i have finally collected most of the parts and am just left with two parts ie the batteries and the frame.

My setup would include :-
1. Amp .25
2. 3dr telemetry 900 mhz
3. Motors 880Kv AC2836-358
4. ArduCopter ESC 20 Amp
5. APC Propellers 10X47 Push-Pull Set
6. Quadcopter Power Distribution Board kit

7.Turnigy 9X 9Ch Transmitter w/ Module & 8ch Receiver (Mode 2) (v2 Firmware) (on its way )
8. Batteries ????
9. Frame ?????

I want that my quad should have a decent in-air time and lift capability. If any of you can please advise me to go for which kind of batteries (priority) and frame (i intend one making my self but latter on) i would be really greatful ? Waiting in anticipation to get my first quad in air as soon as possible.
Thanx in advance
I would be really greatful even if u can advice me on other matters like any mods to the transmitter or receiver etc etc.

  • For a total newcomer, you cannot go wrong with a simple 'Flamewheel' type airframe.

If a quad, they can be purchased for less that $20(US). HERE is a link.

Replacement arms are usually around $5(US).

They are very tough, rugged, and can be adapted to a variety of electronics. You can choose to use, or ignore, the built in power distribution integrated into the lower plate.

    Good luck!
