I just bought an FrSky Taranis for my quad copter and needed to get the Mavlink data up on the Taranis LCD telemetry display. So here is my solution using a Teensy3.1 as a converter between MavLink and the S.Port on FrSky X8R.

I send my hdop as fuel. works for me even though there is no decimal point.
Hi MBR! I have an Arduino Nano V3 from HK and eve through I have followed Hector Hind´s instructions I can´t get the code to complile. The Ide tells me that Serial1 is not in the scope (or something like that). I´m not sure how to adapt your code to my interface. Can you send me the modified code? Thanks
I assume fuel can only range from 0-100 numerically on Taranis ?
So do you take a HDOP value of say 2.30 and multiply by ten and send that ? (Taranis would show 23 on the fuel %).
Thanks fo this information. It seems that this diagram is suited for APM. Pixhawk has a 6 pin telemetry connector. Is it possible to get the same diagram for pixhawk ?

Hey MBR, I'm the maker of the MAVBoard, the mavlink hub/telemetry converter based on an arduino chip. If you are interested in getting that code working for it, I can send you some free samples!
It currently uses a modified version of the JD-ioBoard firmware for the old style FrSky telemetry, but I would really like to get the S.Port telemetry working but haven't been able to put the time into it. The research and work you are doing above seems like it could easily apply to the mavboard pro!

nope, I d o not change anything except the container variable (fuel).
hdop 2.4 taranis shows as 240
