i am trying to learn more about servo motors. I came across a cool unit called the ServoNow from specialty motors. I am trying to understand why this unit might be better than other servo motors for a UAV application. I am in a marketing class and this is part of the homework assignment. Need to try and figure out what the best application would be for this type of plug and play servo motor.

  • Hello,

I looked into the "Servo Now" motor that you described.  It appears that they are built for stationary robotics applications much like the robots that build cars on the assembly line.  However if you were to make a full size autonomous vehicle the size and power performance of those servos would be able to move much heavier loads then the 300 inch ounces a standard RC car steering servo produces.
