ArduBoat? Help with first USV

Hello, hopefully this is in the right section, Im trying to convert a simple RC boat into a fully autopiloted vessel. Im under the impression that APM is capable of helping me do this along with the Mission Planner software. However, Im having trouble finding out about the arduboat software and how I can install it on my PC etc. Ive read all the boat related posts on here and still confused! Im aware that itis available on the missionplanner program but dont know how to get it on there. The link to arduboat manual/code is drawing a blank unfortunately so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I will need the autopilot to control the forward motion and steering, following a pre-determined route. Would I be correct to say I dont need to connect all the other sensors etc?

I apologise about sounding like a typical newbie but if someone could list what i will need to do to allow the APM to control the boat autonomously that would be amazingly helpful
