Building a Quadcopter

Hi,
I am in the process of buying the parts to build Quadrotor. I like to order the ArduCopter
3DR Quad KIT, Frame + MOTORS ($295.00) and  the APM 2.0 Purple Full

Can you tell me what else I need to get? Also, what do I need to communicate between the computer and the quadrotor?

    I was going to ask the same thing. I am also beginning to build my first quadcopter. Thanks to all for the answers :-)

    I just have a doubt regarding the battery, any suggestion?

    Hi all,

    Thank you for you suggestions and help! It looks like 3DR does not have the kit with ESCs and motor. They do not have all 4 ESCs. I am trying to get them from hobbyking.com. Any suggestions for  ESCs and motor? I am going to use 3DR frame (https://store.diydrones.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=KT-AC3DR...). Do motors have standard holes to attached them to the frame.

    A sonar is a good idea, and an xbee telemetry kit for PC to quad communication.

    Thats pretty much it :)
