Hey guys! I am building a custom quad copter using the APM 2.5 system and thought I could build my own power distribution set up and I thought it was good until I powered it up today for the first time and only 2 of the motors will turn. I was able to program and caliberate all 4 esc's so I know they are all good and they will all beep when hooked up to the receiver but for some reason the main power isn't getting to them allowing the props to spin. Let me know what you think. I included a picture of what I had rigged up.

Thanks!

  • Thank you! That helps a lot. I have my esc wired up in series which I don't know why I did that so now I just need to wire them in parallel and it will work and get a 3s lipo. I was trying to power it with a 2s. Thank you!
  • Sorry but I can't tell what you have here from the photo..

All you need is to insure that each Positive wire from each ESC is connect to all the other ESC Positive wires.

The same goes for the ESC Negative wires.

i.e connect all red together, and all black together, then to the Plus and Minus on the battery connector.

Just make sure of you polarity on the plug and battery.

Just like having a 4 light bulbs on one switch in your house.

This shows two loads in parallel, you will have 4.

    Hope it helps.
