This is my first post here by the way, so if I am not doing it right let me know.
I ordered 4 Sunnysky 980kv motors from BuddyRC about a year ago and I have been quite happy with them - one of the few parts I havent had any trouble with :) I am just about 100 percent sure that they are genuine as they are quiet, smooth, and never fail. I recently ordered 2 more spare motors from GetFPV and they seem to work nicely as well, but the appearance of the part is different; the machining lines are visible on the main part of the motor. Could these possibly be fakes? I doubt it as they seem to have the same functional quality. Perhaps they just speed up their lathes a little bit to speed up production - let me know what you think. They look the same to me. Fake sunny sky motors have really messed up labels. Side by side you can tell fake from non fake motors.
