Hexacopter wont take off- ADVICE PLEASE!

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice, I recent bought a new hexacopter (Picture 1) and like some men in their later years of life I’m struggling to get it up and unfortunately after scouring the internet it seems that taking a little blue pill isn't gonna work for getting this one up.

So..Let me explain my problem and hopefully someone with lot more knowledge than myself will be able to help me out or show me a way.

So I bought the drone a while back but had to wait for the controller to arrive and for me to finish uni for me to play with my new toys, I bought the Turnigy 9x (Picture 2 )which was the exact same as the previous owner had and seem to work fine when I test flew it, I binded the controller and receiver together fine! (Picture 3-4)

I tied it down to a wooden pallet to make sure I didn't lose it on its first flight and so I could practice on how it responds etc.

Here is the video of its first take off: (https://instagram.com/p/3KtJgkoSIY/?taken-by=savage.adventures)

It felt a bit sluggish and unresponsive so I took the the font of all knowledge 'youtube' in search of the answer and followed a tutorial on how to set up the controller (because I had apparently done it completely wrong). After I followed the tutorial and recharged the batteries i was ready to take it out for a second spin (if that what we call it)!

So I turned the controller on and set it aside and plugged the batteries in.. the lights did a little dance like they usual do while finding satellites the arducopter beeped and made noises to tell me that it doing important stuff when I clearly have no idea what it’s trying to communicate to me (could be Morse code for all I know) everything seemed nominal. I engaged motors and watched them spool up to about 10% increased throttle slowly (like I did before) ...... and nothing.... feeling like I'd had one too many I couldn't get it up! I gave it all I had and still nothing not even a little hop, skip and a jump! It just sat there spinning the motors faster than like Lance Armstrong on speed!

So I decide that I’d ask the forums because I now have trust issues with YouTube for getting me into this pickle and more so with google after typing the phase 'it used to work fine and now I can’t get it up- hexacopter' .... Not much help at all but I have now found out cheapest place to get Viagra!
