I don't get it!

I have just put together Sparkfuns xbees wireless communicates kit together and I can't get it to talk with my arduino board through the Arduino Comply software! Plus I have a question if you unplug the arduino board does it loose the code that was uploaded to it?

Thank you in advance for any help!

  • From one shadow guy to another, welocme to the group. I noticed you're using some pretty non-standard equipment. i've gotta tell you- upgrade to APM 2.5, and get the 3DR radios. It's such a hassle-free setup. And in my opinion, APM planner (for windows) is the closest thing to the shadow VCS out of all the ground stations out there.

    I've been working with APM for a couple of years now, so I'll be glad to help you out if I can.

    @Michael,

    No, it does not loose the code that was uploaded to it as it is stored in non-volatile memory. However you cannot download the code to see what was stored in its memory.

    What version of the Xbee do you have? You should really use the Xbee 1s as they do point to point. The Zigbee are mesh style and harder to make work correctly unless you really know what you are doing.
