  • I used CloudCompare's CANUPO plugin in my dissertation (see p.35) and it worked quite well. Not sure if that's the sort of machine learning you have in mind -- very simple trained classifier.

  • At present point cloud processing software such as Terrasolid and Lastools do not involve the algorithm of machine learning.

  • There is a domastic company named Beijing Greenvalley Technology which is engaged in laser ladar mapping and related point cloud processing software. Its lidar360 software has a point cloud classification module that includes machine learning classification.
