About us:

Terabee is a multi-award winning startup that designs, develops and produces the world’s smallest, lightest and fastest sensors and sensing solutions for advanced robotics. With a particular focus on distance sensing, mapping, SLAM and obstacle avoidance. Our TeraRanger brand of sensors are small, lightweight (8g) and fast, making them perfect for fast-moving ground and airborne robots.

Job description:

Terabee is currently looking for a drone-oriented software developer. (Both junior and senior applicants will be considered). As a member of the R&D application team you will be crafting software solutions for customer platforms, and helping solve a vast array of fascinating challenges in the robotics domain.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom solutions that harness state of the art sensing technology to improve customer drone platforms and solve specific challenges and use cases

  • Develop and maintain drivers for TeraRanger sensors for Pixhawk-based projects (PX4 and Arducopter) as well as our own ROS packages

  • Participate in Code and Architecture reviews, striving to develop high quality solutions

Skills required:

  • Working knowledge of C++, Python an advantage

  • Practical experience with developing solutions for UAV flight controllers

  • Good understanding of cutting-edge technologies in Control Theory and Robotics

  • Knowledge of at least one version control system, preferably Git

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS)

  • History of developing software for embedded systems

  • Experience in developing or applying 2D or 3D SLAM algorithms

  • Experience in piloting drones
