Hello forums, i've been researching DIYdrones for about a month and a half now and I decided i want to build a drone myself. I was initially going to order the Bixler 2, but i've heard some bad review on it and am now looking for a complete plane i can purchase that does not require me to go out and purchase/install other parts. I've heard the bixler 1 is a great plane, but I can't seem to find if it is ready to fly out of the box(after putting it together of course).
If anyone could help with comments or links to the tpyes of planes im looking for it would be awesome, thanks!

I also vote for the Bixler 2. The attached image shows how I taped all components to the frame. The GoPro in front and the battery /transmitter on the tail balance each other out. It's not that pretty, but easy to fly in FPV setup with the ability to change back into a plain configuration.
My Bixler 2 has a APM 2 inside which allows me to loiter while putting on my FPV goggles. FBW is a great mode for FPV.

The Bixler 2 is great - I've been using it as my APM starter plane (but yep - you will need to purchase radios etc...).
It flies relatively slow etc... - but for any APM plane if you have never flown RC before you'll want to get some local RC pilot to 'buddy box' you a little bit to make sure to can fly the plane on manual if needed during the first few flights.
