I am new to UAV so I am looking for some help with them. I need a UAV that has a flight time of 5 - 8 hrs. I need a IR camera and High RES camera. It needs to take "on the fly" flight changes.. Real time feed back. Any help would be great thanks.

How much money do you have? All those requirements are possible, you just have to add zero's.
If you want to do it on a budget then you're going to have a few problems.
There is a video on youtube of this guy who made a Carbon Skywalker X8. He has 75000mah in batteries an fly for 6 hours.

You'd easily get 1 hour flight time - you should be able to get more than that. You should look at some of the recent blogs re flight time and distance travelled. Research that and you'll see how it's possible.

I am needing a UAV to follow wire form tower to tower. Then fly around the tower and look for damage or hot spots. Then fly to the next tower following the wire looking for damage on the wire. I would like to get 5 - 8 hrs out of the UAV a day.
