I am looking for a laser or acoustic device that will measure and calibrate distance and provide feedback that can be utilized dynamically by my logic board.... very small tolerances... most stuff I have looked at run a threshold far above what I need. Any thoughts on this? Off the shelf?

Now somewhere on a German webpage I saw a mini radar based off the Apache forward laser radar system, cant find it though.
