@Michael O

From THIS conversation,

Would it be possible for you to put human friendly times accross the top of the dataflash graphs? Please leave the line numbers there.

While I am at it , could you please make it so that when you move your mouse cursor across the graph, the tip of the cursor displays a crosshair accross the comple witdh and height of the graph, to make it easier to read of line numbers and values..

Another request...

I am trying to see the distance I am able to fly, so I was hoping to use the distance traveled in the quick overview.

But it starts to count as soon as the AP gets a tiny gps lock. So before I am able to get airborne, I might have traveled a few hundred meters.

Can the distance traveled (and maybe other simmilar counters?) be set to start counting when I arm the AP?
The distance traveld/gps drift before I get airborne will be next to nothing.

And is there a way to reset these counters without disconnecting and connecting again??

+1 on that one

Yes a logbook with airborne time and distance flown would be very handy for users that are flying in countries with regulations that require that.

+1 please

what sort of stats do people want?

time in air.

distance travelled.

etc. etc.

Time in air (since throttle above a certain level or armed)
Distance traveld  (since throttle above a certain level or armed)
Accumulative height gained  (since throttle above a certain level or armed)

Those would do it for me at least. They would enable me to make qualified guesses on what sort of missions I would be able to perform.

Of course, some sort of system in the auto mission planning to do an estimate of required mAh based on distance to be traveld, height to be climbed and time in hover/loiter would be extremely usefull, but that is a major update.

Perhaps something along the lines of:

Flight start & end, duration, avg spd, max speed, avg alt, max alt, home GPS LLA, user editable comment field.

In the form of a non editable pilots log perhaps?

Thanks for the amazing work you've done on mission planner. I'm still fairly new (been floating around reading the last 2 years, had a copter now 4 weeks) and only done dozen or so flights thus far but enjoying it immensely. Your interactivity with the user base and general response to feedback is awesome!

ok next question

per session.

+1 this would be handy

Personally, primarily per flight. That way I can leave comments per flight and they can match my flight logs.

Would be awesome to be able to summarize per day or all as well ;)

+as many as I can

If the logbook covered basic FAA requirements http://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/14/61.51 it would be great. If folks could choose to send in their logs somewhere so that the project could say XYZ hours flown with APM version 2.3456 even better.

MOre about logbooks here http://blog.aopa.org/letsgoflying/?p=1664

@Michael, great Job to include the Time.

There is a Problem with PID logs.

Even with PID enabled, some PID's (Stabilize Roll) are not in the log. Others are sometimes in the Dataflash log, sometimes not. I made tests with Mode Stab,Alt_Hold, Loiter.

Disabling all log Groups, Enabling Default log , enabling all, deleted all files bevor flying etc.

To analize the behavier during Tuning it would be a help if it works.

 Thank you
