Newly Build Quad Spins Clockwise. Any Advice?

Hello,

Just need some advice concerning a newly built quad.

I have a video that explains the issue.

Would the esc's do this? They have not been flashed. (don't know anywhere locally thatI can get this usb flasher.) This is the esc flasher they sell. http://www.szfvt.com/eproducts/81.html

I have followed the steps many times as this is my 3rd custom build. I had built another frame out of wood and it flew perfectly. But it was ugly. So I needed my sweety to look awesome, So I upgraded the specs below:

Hobbyking FG 650X (actually its 550 frame)

RCtimer 5010-620kv

11x5" Carbon Props.

Favourite Sky II. ESC 30A bec. (LINK: http://gcele.en.alibaba.com/product/1537393729-220566055/RC_ESC_30A_Brushless_ESC_Regler_Motor_ESC_BEC_30A_ESC_For_RC_Airplane.html)

APM 2.7GPS: From from a Walkera.

3axis DSY Gimbal.

18v 400amp LiPo

Total Weight: 1.5kg

(just to clarify, my previous build was using Afro 20a esc, and walkera motors, with the same APM flight board.)

Any advice would be so helpfull.

Thankyou so much.  I was commented the other day with this custom build, as he said you must be talented.. HaHa.  You guys take the cake.. An amazing talented bunch of people here on this forum list. I'm just blown away.

Thanks again.

  • Ok.. I should delete this request.  It certainly does fly. I must have been over tired building this.

Thankyou so much for your help guys.

    Cheers

  • I feel like such a doofus. I know I have the rotations the wrong way around. I am going to test this again.  How embarrassing.

  • From your screenshot your prop rotations look wrong. Check them carefully against the APM setup

    • Hello,  Thanks for getting back to me.  I have updated the post with a better pick.  I have followed the steps again for the 4 time.  It is correct.. The blades are correct, the motors connections are correct. and also the rotations are correct. I was also having probs with another build with a H mini quad.  The mini quad also did the same thing, until I re-wired everything up and corrected the quad frame under APM and Mission Planner. But that's another quad all together, but I am still using the same apm board. (But I did reformat the default settings and started again)

I am stumped on this problem. No idea why this is still spinning.
