Problem with my first quadcopter

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to build my very first quadcopter and i'm finding some difficuties. I wanted to use 4 brushless motor, controlled by arduino; i've bought these materials:

-4 brushless motor 1000kV like these

(Max current 10A, 2-3Cells)

-4 Hobbyking ESCs 15-18A SS series

-Turnigy LiPo battery 5000mAh, 3S, 20C

-Arduino Uno

I use the servo library to control di ESCs, with a differente output pin for every ESC.

I have connected everything right, and if i turn on one by one every motor it's fine, but if i try to turn them on all together they turn off as i increase speed.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

  • You mentioned "Arduino Uno". It was not supposed to use APM.*?

What is the purpose for Arduino Uno.

If you do refer to APM... did you do the ESC calibration as per Wiki? Which version did you use? All together or one by one?

Did you test "CLI motors" ?
