Problem with new Ardupilot 2560 board

Hi All,

I`m having problems to upload the code to my new 2560 board.

Program: Arducopter Mega

Arduino 022

Board: Diydrones Mega 2560

Operating system: tried in Windows XP and MacOSX

When I try to upload the code the yellow leds in the board start blinking as normal and then I get the following error:

Binary sketch size: 123164 bytes (of a 258048 byte maximum)
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500_2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout

and it keeps going with this timeout message. In windows the same problem happens but the only difference is that the timeout message don`t appear it just does nothing after the yellow leds blinks and stop.

Could you please help me to find out what`s happening? I've purchased two boards and exactly the same issue is happening with both.

I've selected the right board and serial port in arduino program.

Tks,

Leonardo

  • Just an update in this one. I've downloaded the ArduPilot Mega 2.0 beta and the upload worked perfectly, so it should be something with Arducopter Mega code that's still not ready for 2560 board.

    Any idea on when it should be compatible if that's the case?
