Hello to all.
I'm very new to the forum, and my knowldge in electronics is very limited compared with most of you guys.
I'm pilot and or inspector on a two person team of UAV. We use a DJI S1000, and we came to the conclusion that for our work to be safer and more accurate we would need a proximity sensor on our drone. After lots of search we can't find anything to buy and mount that can do the job.
For our needs and nature of the job, we consider it would be enough to have a sensor that could activate a 4 LED sequence. Exemple: green, yellow, orange, red, where red would be 1.5mt from the object and the other colors in increments of 50cm. All this can vary slightly. maybe with a audible alarm when red was on.
I have been reading lots of blogs but all comes to much more complex systems. Can anyone help us on this matter?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Nuno, the SF02/F from LightWare has three set point alarms that can be configured through a simple USB interface to switch LEDs at preset distances. If you need more set points then you can add an Arduino using the SF02/F Shield and program it to give more outputs.
