Quick question: Connect Motherboard to APM

Hi guys,

We are using a LP170 Pico-ITX board (Datasheet) to communicate with APM 2.6. The pico board has 2 RS232 ports. Now we want to use a RS232 - TTL shifting board to transfer the RS232 signals to TTL signals and then connect to the UART0 or UART2 on the APM2.6. Before purchasing anything, we wonder if this is feasible. Anyone done something similar to this?

Also, after the connection, we have installed ROS on the pico board. The next thing we want to do is use the Mavlink on ROS to receive flight information from APM or send commands to APM. Do we need to install any drivers or just the mavlink library on ROS?

Appreciate any help!

Thanks,

Yan
