Red LED not working on GPS hold

Hi All

 

I recently replaced my IMU and since fitting the new unit, when turning on position hold, the Red LED flashes but will not give a constant red even though the GPS units eventually shows a solid blue when it gets a GPS lock.

 

Does anyone have an idea what may be causing this???

    Yes, this is probably a current, known issue with the mediatek drivers. If you switch to GPS_PROTOCOL GPS_PROTOCOL_AUTO this will probably be resolved.

    Basically, the mediatek needs a little time to get set before it is ready to be communicated with. The auto detect gps driver provides sufficient delay. We removed the delay from the mtek and mtek16 class drivers, so they do not initialize properly when you power up. The other way around this is to first connect power, then reset the board with the reset pushbutton.
