Hello - Regarding a powered tether supplying 220AC up to the drone. I see some using an expensive ($1000) TDK AC-DC converter on board the drone to convert AC to 20v DC. Any thoughts on using just a simple (cheap) windmill bridge rectifier to do the same thing? The current might have a little ripple but the ESC would "condition it" and a BEC would filter the power for flight controls and receiver.
