I need some help guys:
I've been asked to buy a UAV system that is capable of capturing oblique and nadir imagery with a real endurance of 20+ minutes. The minimum setup would be 2 cameras: one down and the other pointed forward at a 45 degree angle. They probably need to be gyro stabilized. Ideal setup would be 5 cameras: one down and the other 4 pointed out at 45 degree angles. Photos would need to be taken with 50-60% overlap and I need the gps and imu readings written out and saved as well. The system would need way points, as we want it to follow a N-S or E-W path on each run and capture imagery for essentially surveying purposes. I was thinking to use gopros for this, but
To be honest, I really just rather buy a complete system, but I haven't been been able to find anything that meets the specs.
Any suggestions?

Jeff, I have a FX-61 Phantom and FX-79 Buffalo configured as per your request. Flight times are well over 1 hour and range about 30 miles with the 5,800 mha 3s setup. Are you point cloud mapping or just stitching aerial images ? I find the downward point cameras and oblique together fill in the gaps for forest canopies quite nicely in the point cloud. see my post here http://www.ents-bbs.org/viewtopic.php?f=235&t=6491 and here http://www.ents-bbs.org/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=6490 on what I am doing get back to me if interested. I can deliver a fully functional and ready to fly UAV that fits your specifications. Lead time would be 1 week for slightly used UAV or 5 weeks new. This UAV can create 3D point clouds with topographic height banding using various open source software. Mike
Jeff,
What is your timeframe? PM me if you like.
Kind regards,
