Y6 flying issue "newbie"

hello allI bought the y6 before a couple of months ago and I did all the calibrations required as shown in the manual but when I tried to make ut fly it flips over after I reach the middle of the maximum throttlenotes1. "my props are facing the sky"2. "I did the esc calibration for all the motors in the same time"here is a video showing my issuehttp://youtu.be/lzoc0f0lUEA

it looks to me very much like either one of your motors on the right hand side is turning in the wrong direction or you have the wrong prop CCW vs CW on one of the motors. I'm saying right hand side because it looks like this is the side that lacks lift when the copter tips although in one of the flips it rolls over from the right. Question, were you applying an cyclic input during any of those flips? I'd reco ESC calibration too as that could be out, not all ESCs will do the all in one calibration.

  • Did you check you have the motors correctly wired up. An easy way to check this is to use a little throttle, and increase the pitch and verify either the back or front lifts to match your pitch. The same goes for roll, the rotor should lift on the left or right side again to match your input. If the wrong side lifts then obviously your motors are wrong.

Eg when you move to the roll stick to the left, the right side of the m/rotor should lift.

With this little tip, you dont need to actually give enough throttle to lift the m/rotor, just enough for a side to lift.

    • I did this and it seems that the motors are connected correcty. however, thank you for your reply :) .
