Dear Andropilot users,

I'm looking for some experienced andropilot users to give a new feature a try: sharing via droneshare.  I've added slick G+, google earth and gmail links to (optionally) share your tlogs with friends and diydrones members.

If you'd like to try this alpha feature (really unlikely to cause any problems with core andropilot behavior, but a fair chance the sharing won't work):

  • Download 1.4.00 from the github downloads site (I'm not putting this on google play yet)
  • Set a username and password in the new 'sharing' settings page
  • Install the google earth android app (if you haven't already)
  • Fly your vehicle
  • When you stop logging (typically by unplugging the USB connector) you should see a notification pop up as it uploads the flight to droneshare.  (If you don't have network connectivity, the next time you launch the app with network connectivity it should do the upload)
  • After the upload is complete various new buttons should appear on the notification.

Any feedback is welcome (a fair amount of more polish is needed for this feature...)

Kevin

How can one delete a tlog from droneshare as I've uploaded a few arbitrary ones?

  • I was able to transfer files from 'logs' to 'newlogs' on my android. Worked as expected. Opened AndroPilot, uploaded just fine.

Is there a way to load previously flown flights to droneshare directly from the app?

  • Hey Kevin,
I have been searching for a way to create .kmz files from Andropilot logs on my Android. Thought I had found a way to view .kmz in GE mobile (if I transfer from computer first) this afternoon, though I hadn't tried yet.
Up to this point I've been relying on Play Store for updates. I tried to download from github a few minutes ago, my phone(SGN2) wouldn't let me. Said something about only allow to download from Play Store, "may harm your device." I assume the solution is somewhere in settings. I'm fairly new to android. I'll try to figure it out tonight. Any ideas? Would it be best to download directly to device, or transfer from computer?
It's gonna rain here for the next few days, but I'll be in the air the moment it stops.
Far from being 'experienced Andropilot' but I'll do what I can.

    Mike
