Hi ya'll,
Thanks for the folks that have been alpha testing this feature (and finding bugs). It seems to work pretty well, so I'm calling it beta and pushing a new load to the google servers (should be available for download in a few hours). Here's a couple of screenshots:
And then here's how your flight (optionally) appears on the web:
Features:
- You can click on the pilot name to see all shared flights from that pilot.
- The G+ and FB buttons can be used to share the flight with friends (either from inside the android app or on the web page).
- The Google Earth pane shows a live google earth view (on supported platforms)
- The Andropilot offers to open the flight inside the android version of google earth
- The plot tab shows flight parameters (this tab needs a lot of work still)
- The parameters tab shows all of your vehicle params (extracted automatically from the tlog)
- Download buttons to download tlogs, params etc...
You can also go to this url if you want to see recent uploads by all users:
http://www.droneshare.com/recent
If you'd like to try this beta feature (really unlikely to cause any problems with core andropilot behavior, but a fair chance the sharing won't work):
- Download 1.4.01 from the github downloads site or google play
- Set a username and password in the new 'sharing' settings page
- Install the google earth android app (if you haven't already)
- Fly your vehicle
- When you stop logging (typically by unplugging the USB connector) you should see a notification pop up as it uploads the flight to droneshare. (If you don't have network connectivity, the next time you launch the app with network connectivity it should do the upload)
- After the upload is complete various new buttons should appear on the notification.
Any feedback is welcome (a fair amount of more polish is needed for this feature...)
# 1.4.01
* Beta test feature: Optional sharing tlogs with G+, gmail, facebook, google earth & web...
* We automatically delete 'boring' tlogs (no vehicle motion) - controllable from settings
* Use the new android 4.0 style preferences UI

I have an ISP I started 11 years ago.
I have tons of space on it an 10meg link.
I'll talk to my son to see what we need to do to set it up as a server for our stuff.
FREE...no charge...It was just sitting there anyway.
Only have 10 customers left. Light loading.

Looks good.
Have you played with new android with sticks?
I just finished my quad build. Still need to fly.

and my little 'free' webserver is now getting burried with the small amount of traffic it is getting. I'll switch to something bigger later. But if the webserver is slow to respond try again later...
