Thank you Arthur for pointing me to the recently released FTDI native library for android. I added this library to Andropilot and now the following links should all be just as fast as their Mission Planner equivalents:
- Direct USB connection of 3dr radios
- Direct connection of XBee
- Bluetooth link
- UDP link
(Direct APM USB connection will still be slower unless you are on android 4.2 or later - I still need to use my crufty workaround in that case)
Also thanks to all the testers who tested this release and posted feedback... Next release should have full support for the Archos Gamepad, which should provide a very nice <$200 fully integrated GCS.
