    @Longshot7601,

The PM Eagle files are on this webpage:PM

  • Does anybody have a link to the Power Module schematic?  Mine isn't working and I want to know why.

    Thanks in advance.

  • @dr0n3droid My problems started here: http://tinyurl.com/pj3yp3g
Now I think that I should have kept those clones and just transplant the voltage regulator from the old (original) PM to the new clone. Now I have none. I've sent the clones back and have refunded.
You just can't know if it's genuine or fake until it's in our hands, cuz those stores for sure don't say it's not the real thing. And the shipping costs for tiny things, gosh!
I think I'll stay here for today!
    Thanks again dr0n3droid!

3DR Power Module with missing part?
Hello all. A few days ago I've made a big screw-up when I've connected by accident the battery to my hexa with the inverted polarity. The Power Modul…
  • @António
I keep that CC BEC around for situations like this. There is no I&V monitor, but but I can still fly.
  • @António I feel your pain.
I busted another PM yesterday in a rover crash. That's two now. If I break 3 more it might be worthwhile to fix them. I found the part I need.

$6.77 seems reasonable, but $48 for shipping? Something is wrong with the system.
  • @dr0n3droid Thanks again.
I'm starting to consider this option, attopilot+voltage regulator, for I'm frustrated in trying to buy a PM in europe, instead of trying to go for the higher voltage LiPos. It's the third attempt in buying one PM, and 2 were clones without the voltage regulator, and another went missing in the mail. Most of the best stores in here have it out of stock. I dunno why.

I'm feeling I'm being forced to buy it directly from 3DR, or try this new/old approach. In the while it's been week that my hexa is grounded. :-(

    Cheers

  • This is what I used before 3DR started making the PM.

    Check your LHS.

  • @dr0n3droid Thank you for the speedy response.
Would you be kind to show me/us a link to one of those kind of regulators? Just as as an example. Perhaps it might be simpler to get one than I though.

    Thank you again in advance.

  • @António

Attopilot is for measurement only. What's missing is a voltage regulator to give you +5v for APM.
  • Can a Attopilot fully substitute a power module in giving power to an APM 2.5 and sending voltage and current readings to be sent by the telemetry? If not, what part is missing to make it complete? THanks

Will AHRS_ORIENTATION=8 for Arducopter 3.2.1 on APM 2.5 using a traditional Heli

I have been Reading Chris Olsen posts and watching his videos on Arducopter with traditional Helis using a Pixhawk.I have inherited an older Trex 450 heli with the old Align 3G FBL hardware.  The FBL controller appears to be bad.  So I have an old APM 2.5 without a compass or GPS on board.  I just want to replace the failed Align 3G FBL system with the APM.Now I have to mount the APM under the skids on the heli so the APM will be upside down.I have Two questions.1)  Is the AHRS_ORIENTATION=8…

Maximum number of Lidar for Object Avoidance

Hi all,I'm setting up my PX4-based quad with ST VL53L0X Lidar sensors (I currently have three) and I noticed that line #24 of the current Rangefinder library (here: https://github.com/ArduPilot/ardupilot/blob/master/libraries/AP_RangeFinder/RangeFinder.h#L24) has the maximum number of sensors set to 10 (ten). Am I understanding this correctly? And has anyone ever tried to setup this many rangefinders (or anything close) with any measure of success?Any input/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Valid values for Mavlink SCALED_PRESSURE

I have a raspberry pi reading mavlink messages from a pixhawk. When I read SCALED_PRESSURE I get hPa values around 490  - less than half of what I would expect - and a temperature around 4834 in cdegC - seems warm to me. This is consistent with what is shown in Mission Planner (see below). Is this normal or is my barometer on the fritz? I am trying to calculate my own altitude like AP_Baro::get_altitude_difference but in a companion computer.
