Hi all,

We are under trial with UgCS and we're looking for a way to plan a vertical survey (like on a facade of a building or a rock cliff).

Is there any ideal procedure to plan it?

Thanks.

Hi,

In UgCS 3.0 there is no special tool so far to build vertical survey grid. Now waypoints can be used to build the path along with constant heading specified to point drone nose to the wall.

we are working on the several things:

1) a basic tool for building a vertical grid with regular horizontal and vertical steps

2) for DJI drones we are implementing a new YAW behavior to make instant turn in a waypoint and not to change YAW while approaching next WP. Because that is important for flying along the wall with several segments which do not lie on the same straight line.

We expect to make these functions available later this autumn.

Hi,

Thanks Alexei. I look forward to try the new features.
