Corridor scan in UgCS

Started by Greg. Last reply by Greg Jun 4. 2 Replies

I am a new user to UgCS. I really need to be able to do a corridor scan where I define a path (like a power line or a pipeline or a railroad line) and have the flight paths created automatically based on my camera parameters/GSD. QGroundControl has this feature and it works very well. Is it possible to do this in UgCS currently? Could you PLEASE add the feature to UgCS? This is a huge feature for me as I do missing person searches and I need to follow along certain terrain features. Thank you.Continue

Set waypoint as landing spot

Started by Mike Sousa. Last reply by Janis Jonins Jun 3. 1 Reply

HiI've been able to set one of the waypoints as the 'start point', will that make the return to home point also? If not, how do I make the start point the return point? The route became numbered in a way that the 1st waypoint is in the middle of the route (not sure how that happened).Thanks...Continue

Exporting section of route from Telemetry

Started by Mike Sousa. Last reply by Janis Jonins Apr 24. 3 Replies

HiI've collected telemetry for a fairly long flight and because of this, it has too many waypoints and will not process (I'm suspecting that's the reason why). Is it possible to save a part of the telemetry as a KML file in the Telemetry player, or maybe delete segments of the create route?Thanks...Continue

I’m getting errors like area too large. Is there a limit to how many images you should process

I am trying to read telemetry with version 2.13. But in the latitude and longitude these erroneous values appear:

{"id": "TT_LATITUDE", "value": 0.33958137}, {"id": "TT_LONGITUDE", "value": - 1.7310266}

You have to do some calculation to obtain to get the positions like this: "19.456566, -99.180498.61.17" WGS-84.

Thanks in advance

Hi guys:

I'm new to UgCS and drones. I've been testing version 2.12 with Phantom 4 DJI with the Java SDK from here:

Following the examples, I have managed to read telemetry, send commands and upload routes, but I have two limitations:

1.- When the telemetry is connected with version 3.0, it does not work correctly.

2.- I don't know how to manipulate camera rotation and drone movements. I tried sending the command "direct_payload_control", but it gives me the error: "command not registered".

Reading this documentation:

I understand that you have to register the command, but I still do not know how. Please someone help me.

I am working on UgCS for muti-Drone(arducopter).

I have some question now, I have tested the 2 quadcopters with ardupilot and here+ RTK GNSS, ESP-07 WIFI telemetry . but UgCS Pro version have lost the telemetry up/down links  on about 30~40 meter altitude.

I have tested in LOS environment with TP-Link wifi router .

I want to control the drones over 150m at least.

please let me know how to solver this problem . which telemetry module I use for multi-drones.

is possible read mission file from UgCS to MissionPlanner, in both directions.

Comment by Marshall Cant on December 26, 2016 at 8:54am

I have the same problem.  My "Overshoot" field is also set to 0.

If you reduce overlap you also reduce the quality of the results.Pix 4D recommends 70% overlap (as does most other photogrammetry software).

Please explain how to correct this and have the UAV follow the outline of the area.

Adam Kelly, you got to make lower Forward overlap to get not so big overshoots.

Comment by Adam Kelly on December 26, 2016 at 2:51am

Hi - I'm new to ugcs. I'm planning a mission and I keep getting big overshoots using the photogrammetry tool. I've attached a screen shot. Anyone know why this is happening? I have tried changing pretty much all the variables one at a time, nothing changes these overshoots. It suck up a lot of flight time to travel this extra distance.
