About Me:
Lead developer of ArduCopter. I coordinate releases, provide support for users having trouble with their copters, add new features (most often based on ideas and suggestions from the community). I also help others get their code integrated into ArduCopter.

You can find numerous video tutorials from me here:

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
Interested in quads and helis mostly. I got my start in this field by reading the electronics tutorials from Sparkfun and from watching the success of Jack Crossfire's vicacopter. I've learned an enormous amount from the combined wisdom of the people on the DIYDrones forums and members of the core dev team including Jason Short, Tridge, Doug Weibel, Leonard and many more.

    Hello Randy,
Thanks for the great feedback! Yeah, outside of EnRoute and ACSL there wasn't a whole lot of news and info on the others.
Thanks for the confirmation on Terra Drone.  I was going to put them in the article because they sounded like a company to keep my eye on ... however, because they don't look to manufacturer their own platform I decided to leave them out.
Thanks for the info on Shibamoto.  Given the agriculture environment particular to Japan, drones seem to be a good choice for spraying operations and many of the companies seem to be getting involved ... including ACSL launching its new Minori agri spraying model.
In the future I will also try to catch up with you on your Facebook group.  Also, I plan to be in Japan next Feb if you are in the Tokyo area.
    All the best,

Great!  I'll send you a message when I know my travel schedule ... probably next Feb.
