I received this nice prototype from Sky-Hero Belgium for testing.

This is the 'Spy' frame.

I already fitted an APM with the 2.9.1b and is ready to go but...

Unfortunately I'm grounded due to bad weather and for the moment it doesn't look to get any better.

However as soon as the sky clears, I'll be out on the field and back with more info

As I'm starting off with FPV I didn't want to sacrifice my 'good' quad so I build a smaller one based upon the DJI330 frame.

This is how it looks like

It is a quick and maybe dirty solution but to learn FPV with low cost, it will certainly do.

The FPV setup is powered from a separate 1S lipo.

Since the TX is a 3V3 version I used a small low drop regulator to handle the 4.2V of the lipo.
The range for the camera is from 3V to 6V so this one is powered straight from the battery.
The cloverleaf antenna was build out of silver plated copper wire 1mm.

The results are quite ok, taking into account that the camera is not high spec.
The goal of this setup was to have a cheap quad for learning FPV.

Wanted to have a self powered telemetry pack in order to save up the battery of my tablet.
So I tried this:

Hooked up the 3DR radio to a 2S lipo via a ubec.
This pack is then to be fixed to the back of the tablet.

The battery leads are external for charging purposes.
The ubec is to be changed by one with a build in lipo alarm.

This is still a work in progress and requires some fine tuning :-)

I built a quadcopter based upon the TBS discovery frame, as the APM is located in the frame it is quite difficult to get hold of the status leds.
This is why I wanted to have some kind of Pilotlamp indicating the state of the APM.

I started off wih a prototype (Arduino pro mini with RGB led).

The above video is a small demo.

Plan is to convert it so it can be used with the Xaircraft Pilotlamp
