HONDA is introducing "Smartphone Case N" that has small six air bag to protect Smartphone in the case.

The engineer is start development this case by his loss of his own smartphone, drop and damage.

He start drop test and found the critical height of damaging phone is 1.67m from the flower.

After several design of protection case, he reached to 6 air bag concept that is took from N-wagon Air Bug system.

The nice Nitrogen gas inflated air bag is shown at the end of the video.

The EMC shielding material reduce magnetic interference that is good to ArduCpoter3.0.

As you know the Boeing 787 has been grounded by caught fire on the Li-ion battery.

It looks like Japanese battery may have some issues on this incident:-(

You might reminded some laptop PCs caught fire by its Li-ion battery, few years before.

It is ironic to the restriction of Li-ion batteries for carry on baggage and air cargo.

Our copters will not fly without high power density Li-Po.

How do you treat your Li-Po battery and deposit after some failure ?

On December 1st and 2nd, we have Maker Faire Tokyo 2012 at Odaiba. The maker fair used to held at Tokyo Institute of Technology. They are moving to very nice science museum at Tokyo bay area. Japan Drones, actually Randy and myself shows demonstration flight. The University of Tokushima also join our demonstration flight with very unique quad ducted fan drones that is controlled by APM2.0. 

This flight is took place before to open to the public.

Real demonstration has been done at football field of the university. 

Randy and my self show off DIY Drones at Make: Fair at Tokyo on December 3 and 4.

We have very good feedback from visitors and exhibitors.

It will very good start of DIY Drones in Japan.
