LYCHEE-made for UAV development

many drone applications such as photogrammetry, orthophoto generation, 3D terrain modeling etc require to geotag images. There is some geotagging software but we found them complicated to use.

we developed DroneeGeotagger.

DroneeGeotagger in-browser image geotagging software. it is super simple to use and it works in-browser that means no cloud involved. Your data doesn't go to the internet. it is secure )

DroneeGeotagger geotags 1 image in around 0.5 seconds. 

How does it work?

For DroneePlane users

1. Open the browser and go to DroneeGeotagger

2. connect to DoroneePlane's wifi "Dronee",  it will automatically get GPS coordinates from the drone and will list in the browser.

3. Take images from camera and "drag and drop" inside the DroneeGeotagger. It will list images with at least order

4. Press "Geotag all" button. Geotag will start and geotagged images will be saved on the desktop.

For other drones users

1. Open the browser and go to DroneeGeotagger

2. Drag and drop CSV file inside the DroneeGeotagger.It will list GPS coordinates with at least order.

3. Take images from camera and "drag and drop" inside the DroneeGeotagger. It will list images with at least order

4. Press "Geotag all" button. Geotag will start and geotagged images will be saved on the desktop.

Hi everyone,

I would like to share my experience with Sony RX0 which is a fantastic camera for surveying.

SonyRX0 zero is a small size, a shockproof digital camera with 25 mm wide angle (equivalent to 35mm)

It is only 110 gram with battery. Quality, size, wight make it suitable for surveying applications on drones.

Sony RX0 has a manual mode to set all camera parameters manually to get sharp pictures 

to get sharp quality pictures you should consider to set few parameters correctly:

Shutter speed: to remove blur from photo shutter speed should be set for higher value. 1200–1600 is recommended. Higher the shutter speed reduce image quality.

ISO: lower the ISO higher image quality. ISO between 150–300 is recommended.

Focus: Recommended to set the focus manually on the ground before the flight. Direct camera to an object which is far, and slightly increase the focus, you will see on camera screen that image sharpness changes by changing the value. Set the image sharpness at highest.

White balance: recommended to set to auto.

Last time i introduced DroneePlotter which is completely free  in browser flight log analiser tool for Ardupilot and PX4 log files.

After many feebdacks we have added many features to DroneePlotter .

1.we added lz4 compression support for upload and download of the files.Lz4 compresses binary files around 50%, Which means you get x2 more upload/download speed. Binary files are served with 1year cached flag which means if you open multiple instances of the same url, the data files will be served from browser cache after the first download

2.mavgraph.xml support you can click enable or drag and drop xml file which will be stored in browser cache.

3.FFT graph of ISBH frames for vibration measurement

5.GPS randomisign.Before uploading the binary file now you can randomize gps trajectory origin. Which will take the flight start to a random gps coordinate on the Earth.

We are happy to share DroneePlotter -  Drone Flight Log Analysis Tool  with drone comunity to make analyse and sharing easier.

DroneePlotter works on browser not (on server) Just drag and drop the log file . It parses binary log file inside browser instantly with Java scrip, and it works very fast . 

It generates flight graphs automatically , also you can  visualise specific flight data on graph and easily share with others, post on blogs, discussion forms.

To share your analyse with others you need to click UPLOAD button, it will generate unique link based on their md5
which means even another person uploads this file,server will generate the same url.

Thanks to RaspberryPi community it has realy reach sources to start to work on a project.)   As we have 8Mp camera for RaspberryPi why not to stream video from drone to Mission planner via Wifi, it is low cost and you just need to plug into USB port on DroneePilot. 

I found many posts about Wifi video streaming from RPi to Mission Planner  all requires to start camera on RPI each time and ned to conenct to shell and write a script to start camera. I decided to make easier , to start camera automatically on boot, and you don not need to start camera each time.
