GPS + xbee project

Hi,

I'm working on a simple GPS Xbee tracking project.

It seems that you can directly connect a gps with NMEA output to a XBEE and send the data over to a xbee connected pc.

I've tried this but it doesn't really work. I get data but its unreadable.

APM2 with Xbee = no go

As I'm using APM2 now, I wanted to connect with xbee.

On APM1 all works fine.

I connect to UART0/2 and have no connection.

APM2 starting problem.

I received my nw APM2, connected everything as described and loaded the code in MP. (2.5.3)

I did the setup through MP, calibrating TX, leveling, ....

Did arming test in MP and all goes well. LED A stays on and led C blinks. All OK!!!!

Flying without compass.

I'm having a issue with one of my APM1 boards.

The handtest shows that the quad wants to make a lot of movement in random directions.

First of all the compass states 'not healthy' with CLI test. I desoldered the mag and want to test the APM on its own.

Alt Hold problems

I've was very happy with the lateste ACM code concerning AH.

Untill I switched to v48.

In AH mode the motors start pulsing alot and suddenly go up to a certain height, I think the border height between sonar and baro. When reached it starts descending

Fun with arducopter

Whilst spending a lot of time on this project I found a way of distracting the kids a little bit and giving them a helping hand in designing a new hood for the arducopter.

Its made of styrofoam and canbe painted by the kids.

ACM 2.0.38

Flying several batt yesterday I was eager to test v38 today.

Loading went good. No probs there.

There stills seems to be a problem between the PWM values when calibrating TV in CLI and MP. The values are not the same.

issues 2.0.31

Hi,

Just loaded the latest code fromthe wiki v31 and did a quick test.

Alt hold problem with sonar is still there as discribed in issues v30. Did a CLI sonar test and works fine.

Also no logs can be found.
