To everyone reading this post. I have been following mr Naudin's personal pages for a long time and can truely say that it is outstanding. I love all the detail of his projects, also the detail in his write-ups. I can't wait to see the Ardu write-up and all the extra experiments to follow on the platform.

Hi James and Cronselaar,

Thank you very much for all your encouraging comments. I have recently discovered the ArduPilot board which is an excellent developpement platform. I like and share the aim of the DIY Teamwork who want to share all their finding with the community with the Opensource. So, this why I have choosen this.

Concerning the plane that I am currently use, I have choosen the Easyglider from Multiplex, this is a very good platform for testing and better powered than the Easystar. It is able to carry up to 500 g of payload which is a very usefull for testing. This glider is also crashproof...

At this moment, I use the ArduPilot v2.3.2, this is the original v2.3.1 with some minor add, most particularly for the Shiel v2 compatibility. I have tested in flight this WE the v2.4 and I am a bit disapointed because it doesn't work fine as the v2.3. The glider climb too much fast, the throttle and the waypoint mode seem unregulated by the PID process. I have tried to change their gains without success...
So, I have trying to find the difference in the software which are the cause of a such problem...

Stay tuned, as soon as I have found this I shall share my findings.

Regards,
Jean-Louis

No, it appears to me to be facing forward, as it should, off the right wing, about 6" out from the fuse.

What do you see?

Bellow some photos of my Easyglider pitot tube currently in use with the ardupilot :

As you may notice it is used frontward and placed far from the wind of the propeller. I have also replaced the original silicon and copper tube by a bigger diameter silicon and copper tube. This allow a better accurate measurement of the Air SPeed in flight.
Regards,
Jean-Louis
