"Old post but here I am asking a question.  Did anyone succeed?  What was the solution? What about using a 3dr gps just for the telefly?"

What is your budget?

this is going to be for my "dream tricopter"  and thus I will be making some saving for this purpose, so if it is under 100usd than I think I could afford them....  so far I found NX-4006-530kv motors 67g 481g @ 3.35amp theoretically

Also, can I phrase the question as such:

Is there a rotor (motor and prop) that generates more than 430 grams of net thrust (500 grams less motor weight of 70 grams; thrust after the weight of the rotor is removed along with the additional weight of 2 grams per inch of prop over 10"), while sipping 43 watts or less (3 amps at a 4S voltage that varies between 10 and 17 volts)?  In other words, a rotor with an efficiency of about 10 grams per watt at 430 grams of net thrust.

Is it OK to word the question that way?  If so, then a 130 gram rotor generating 560 grams thrust at 43 watts would be OK as would a 50 gram rotor generating 480 grams of thrust at 43 watts.
