"My tilt will go well over 360 degrees.  How many turns is your external pot rated for?  That may be what is limiting your travel.  I have a 5 turn pot on the roll axis and a 10 turn on the pitch axis.  I have my travel limited by…"

"Cirilo, I bookmarked your servo link. Looks like a good source for future projects.  Although I never experienced the "shaking", the "continuously running" is very familiar.  Also, note that you may find a combination…"

"Did you hack into your servo?  I have a similar setup, in that I have an external potentiometer on the tilt axis.  I hacked into a standard servo, making it a 360 degree servo. Then, I attached an external servo to the three leads that the…"

"Hi,  I think you are better off just getting new servos, its an easy fix to convert closed loop servos to open loop. But not as easy the other way around. The way you usually hack a servo from a normal closed loop to a open loop servo is to…"

Adam Rivera replied to Barry Jones's discussion gimbal servo voltage
"Barry, It sounds like the flight controller is expecting standard fixed rotation servos and is outputting a constant value for the set point. Most gimbals are configured to operate this way. In other words, if you rotate the copter to the right,…"

gimbal servo voltage

First off, I confess that I am not as technically savvy as any of you.I am trying to get my 2 axis gimbal to operate correctly.  I am controlling it with a DJI Naza.  I am using the F1 and F2 outputs to control the pitch and roll.  The problem is the servos do not stop once they get going in a particular direction.  If I tilt the copter sideways, the gimbal will start rotating to correct for the motion, but rather than just correct, it continues to rotate until I tilt the copter in the opposite…See More
