the problem seems to be at the code as I removed the old bocsh baro I can get some data using the test code for the ms5611 in the ap_baro maybe you know where can I find in the code the initialize of the old sensor and disable it replacing it with the new one?

Thanks this really helps.  I'm not a EE so I only partly understand this at the moment.  Knowing you used a CNY70 is a huge help and though I think the paper ribbon and black dot will be easier to figure out, I'll try my hand at using the IR diode.  I'm assuming that the propeller needs to break the beam between the IR diode and the CNY70 sensor?  I'm pretty good at figuring things out through trial-and-error/reverse engineering so wish me luck.
