About Me:
Well... I used to fly model airplanes but I haven't done it since 199X...

I ended up here because I heard about Arduino and got interested in the stuff that was being done with it.

Since 2010 I have most of the parts needed to build an ArduCopter, but I still haven't sat down to build it (it's a shame).

I have a business background but I am totally into technology, innovation, entrepreneurship and, well, anarchism.

I maintain (sorta...) two blog: - focused on start-ups, entrepreneurship and business in general - focused on DIY and hacking

Hello everyone, I've been in this community for quite some time, although I haven't participated much.

I'm looking for a post where Chris Anderson explains the rationale behind the initial pricing of DIYDrones products. I can't find that post anywhere.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Então pelo q penso pra vc poder fazer o quadcopter vc vai ter q desenvolver o sistema eletronico junto com o projeto pq, ao meu ver, oq vai fazer o seu quadcopter ficar estavel é justamente a eletronica q vc vai embarcar nele.
Vc já fez um projeto preliminar?! Se já maravilha, se não vc vai precisar seguir passo a passo o projeto tipo projeto conceitual, oq vc quer q ele faça e principalmente qual sistema vc vai colocar nele, isso inclui o ardupilot, por exemplo, o peso de cada componente e a forma q vc quer q o sistema funcione....
No q eu puder ajudar é só entrar em contato....

I recently disassembled my UAVP to start playing with an arduino using my existing sensors. I have been following the AeroQuad as I want to do something similar. I have three one-axis gyros where the AeroQuad using two two-axis gyros. It doesn't like it is the most stable quad out there, but for me it is the most approachable.

The challenge with using a quad as a UAV platform is getting it stable. You can't even begin to work on waypoint navigation until you can get it to hover / be controllable. That's a lot farther away than if you were to use a plane.

I lean to the quad approach for the same reason you do, lack of space nearby.

No plans as such for this platform, just built it from readily available parts. It's an experimental platform for software development, the software is the hard part!

Good morning. As everyone knows, the spots and DIYdrones forum should be posted in English. We also all know that due to the variety of subjects is complicated participate in blogs and help those in need. As I'm assembling more than a year my autopilot, having faced all sorts of problems, I propose creating a more direct channel of communication between members of DIYDRONES in Brazil. So, please consult the other Brazilians on how this tool would be interested and if we have.

Manoel, acho uma boa ideia e imagino que a comunidade DIY Drones entenderia a necessidade de forums específicos para certos idiomas. Como você colocou, aqui tratamos de um assunto complexo e a barreira da língua pode dificultar o aprendizado.
