"Probably real good for a efficient long endurance fixed wing, but not so much for a copter. While the energy density doubles, the maximum C rating is one fifth of the best copter batteries, only 2C. You would still be pushing C limits, but my 650…"
"I had this happen to my copter after a benign modification. I have very well balanced props and they are checked on a Dubro balancer. I changed motor mount because I thought they would be more secure, but they added 20 g and extended the arm length.…"
I have just looked at some of your latest logs. Same critical problem exists, bad voltage to the pixhawk, excessive battery voltage drop from idle to flight.
power from my copter
"I doubt any one will volunteer to help you until you explain what you mean by "armed drones". I think we might have a language issue as that sounds to me like you were using a weaponized drone for photogammetry. If you don't have an…"
"Wow, that will be a monster machine. Are you talking about a 200 lb. payload or gross vehicle weight? If you are talking 200 lb. payload it will be under powered. I figure your motors ,esc's, and 12 s battery for each motor will weigh ~ 100…"
"I think he must have been using an independent trigger to fire the chute. Has nothing to do with the Pixhawk as it lost power and there is no output. He had a second battery for the chute ejection system so I assume he had one of these things.
"You had a brown out reset or a total failure of your power system. Other than that the copter was flying perfect, well tuned machine. You have to look at the power tab in the log viewer. As you can see the vcc is bouncing between ~4.2 to 4.7 volts.…"
Hey Greg ! It hit me while I was sleeping tonight and woke me up ! Getting baby scale is an Excellent idea! not just to weigh the plane but if I get one that shows ounces and fraction of ounces I can weigh each item and figure it's moment before I put it in the plane and help figure the best spot for it from the COG + or - and keep the trimming ballast to a minimum. the rest of the plane will be foam I have been looking at power plants and might do Something Novel ? I am aiming for a take off weight of 4 1/2 to 5 pounds if I get a power plant out of something 7 to 10 pounds it should be lots Thanks! Have a Great Day!
I read your posts that you have made a camera gimbal stabilizer. I work on Arduplane source code, with the APM-1 board, attaching 2 servo to work out solution for 2-axis stabilizer. It will be helpful if you could share your source so that I can have a look at it to get a better idea !
