Small in size, big on power: new microbatteries the most powerful yet

Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign developed new microbatteries out-powering even the best supercapacitors. These could drive new applications in radio communications and compact electronics, such as drones - the batteries are rechargeable and can charge 1,000 times faster than competing technologies!

It's done. U.S President Obama did sign the bill for full integration of UAS into the national regulatory framework by Sept. 30, 2015. Small UAS (under 25kg) will be cleared to fly by mid-2014.

Japan's Ministry of Defense released 2 days ago their spherical drone: 350 grams, 8 minutes fly time.

Pretty impressive. Drawing board anyone?

Le mien n'a pas encore voler (uniquement sur banc d'essai) à cause d'un problème de vibration. Je suis en train d'améliorer le code (en particulier la télémétrie et la lisibilité du code). J'espère qu'il volera bientôt ! Je travaille en parallèle sur un modèle matlab pour faire des simulations et en particulier synthétiser les gains.

Je pense en faire un mieux en fin d'été avec des controleurs I2C et une meilleure électronique (mais de garder la même taille et les même moteurs).

Bon courage pour la construction de ton quad !
