Director of Technology at Infinite JIb.
Prior to my involvement at Infinite Jib I was a Tool Maker for Boeing Aircraft designing tooling for the Dash 8, I also owned an Apple Computer Reseller Company that serviced the Advertising Agencies in Toronto. I have an interest in commercial aviation and attended Commercial Flight Training in College.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I have been involved with multirotor UAVs for 4 years. For the past 3 years I have been designing and manufacturing Ready to Fly systems for Infinite Jib
Jeff Jackson ... Infinite Jib ... This IS a small world! Hahaha!
You will probably remember me if I tell you that I am the customer that drove from Montréal all the way to your place, one Friday afternoon, to get that AeroSIM-RC Software. I arrived to your place very late that same evening, at the end of October, last year.
I'm very happy to find you on this Forum. I have much to learn, since I decided to upgrade from the DJI platform to the APM 2.6 platform. I had a bad experience and was very scared. I still have all my DJI stuff, but I think I'll rebuild and set it up later to concentrate on my new « HJ-H4 Reptile » Airframe setup. I'm almost completed setting it up but I need some help with the calibration. The place I bought the Flight Controller is new to this platform and postpone the « meeting » to calibrate the darn thing. I should have bought the real thing from 3DR... And I found that there is much more support for its 2.5 version than its 2.6 upgraded revision. Is 2.6 THAT new? Donno!
I'm stuck at Mission Planner's calibration step 12 of 16. I just can't seem to get the ESCs to pre-arm. All previous calibration steps seem to be okay. I do not know where to look for the problem and I'm at a loss. I think I'll just keep asking around and maybe, just maybe there is a member that had the very same issue and solved it that can give me some hints.
I think I read somewhere that the ESCs needed to be calibrated, but I think this is Step 13 on the calibration process. Not sure...
Well, I'm sure glad to meet you again! If a may, I'll add you on my Friends List. Please do the same.
I hope ro read from you very soon, Jeff! It was really fun to hear you.
