I have been trying to find the specs/blueprints for the stereo camera described here to reproduce the work mentioned in the ETH paper Autonomous Obstacle Avoidance and Maneuvering on a Vision-Guided MAV Using On-Board Processing

Is it available as open source hardware, is this something that 3DRobotics is thinking about releasing in the near future -  ie would I be wasting my time to trying to build it from scratch (besides gaining understanding)?
