Hey Patrick. We have been adjusting the datcom model and have something that works right now but we had to adjust the roll damping. The vertical tail isn't showing up in the aerodynamics I think. We should have this resolved soon though. We are also verifying the model in a wind tunnel. The datcom model as well as a flight gear model/ blender model etc are all on our sourceforge project, oooark. http://sourceforge.net/projects/oooark/

Just to let you know the Datcom model isn't correctly modelling the elevator lift coefficient. We think this is due to the increased control authority due to prop wash over the elevator. We should be correcting it with wind tunnel data soon. Right now the plane won't trim much below 50 fps. Also I've got some LQR's going for the longitudinal/ lateral/ combined dynamics. Still trying to decide wether to go with an LQG approach or LQ tracker with output feedback. Following the book by Lewis, Aircraft Control and Simulation closely. Let me know how your controller design is going. We are working in linux, but all of my models are in scicoslab which might run in windows if you can get my custom blocks to compile.
