Servo Gripper with IRIS+

Hello everyone!I'm trying to connect a gripper to my IRIS+ using Pixhawk output 2. I know that I can use RC10_FUNCTION command on my auto missions in order to turn on gripper signal but I would like to use it manually sending the signal directly from the RC controller using channel 8 which is not used by the default IRIS configuration.Does anybody know how to assign RC10_FUNCTION to one of the RC sticks? Thanks! …See More

"The WP radius is the area where the flight triggers WP reached. At 150m the outcome will be a smaller flight path radius. Using a 3m WP radius would be advisable."

IRIS+ Auto Mission Above Open Sea and Mountains

Hello everybody! What do you think about this mission? Location is San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico. This scenic lookout (voted #1 in Oceanic Views of the World by the National Geographic) gives a peerless view over the Gulf of California, dramatic Tetakawi (a volcanic hill jutting out of the sea) and the secluded coves of Playa…See More

"Why not go low tech and use a boom system? A wire running above the train, and a camera on a cable system (like a gondola)"

Erik Graham replied to Quauhtli Noel Martínez Zazueta's discussion IRIS+ for in motion train cars inspection in the group IRIS
"I'll be a nay sayer here and suggest that this is not a great idea. It seems like you'd be much better off just placing wireless cameras throughout the train and monitoring them on a laptop or tablet."

"Yeah, and taking off would be like flying in a 30-40MPH wind - would be dicey for sure!  Maybe a catch net for the return landing."

"Maybe setting ARMING_CHECK to "0" (zero) will over-ride all start-up errors.  This will have to be Trial and Error test to see if it works."
