I was going to reply to your 'long flight times' posting, but it looks like someone locked it down.
With my current prototype airframe, I'm spinning a 9x6 prop at let's say 5000 rpm for 1 hour ... just to use approximate round numbers. This is an electric motor running on battery power. Battery weight is about 2lbs.
Cost of the battery is < $200. If you can do better with your yet to be proposed system, that would be great. I think everyone would love to hear more details.
But this is all a balance between cost, efficiency, weight, safety, power output, endurance, recharge/refuel time/ease, etc. etc. So if you can improve on any of these parameters without greatly sacrificing one or more of the other parameters, I bet you will find a lot of interest.
