Profile Information

About Me:
I work for an NGO the education health and development foundation , I have an interest and hobby in RC planes , and I just started building my own planes about a year or so back, I am more in to SPADs. These are built from cloroplast plastic sheets, aka corrugated plastic sheets, which is a durable ,light and reliable material.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
interested in uav applications in relief work,

I work for an NGO the education health and development foundation , i thought that if I personally funded a project that could develop a UAV to help in search, rescue and emergency relief efforts it would be a great asset to the NGOs working in Pakistan for dealing with future disasters. Having experienced some of the worst earthquakes and floods I know that areas become inaccessible on foot, being able to get a clear picture of where help is needed and enabling prioritization of aid efforts is just as important as mustering public support for the relief efforts. Perhaps the apm system is a good simple system that is cost effective and well suited for this type of job.

Hello Mahmood, I'm planning to work on an UAV. I'm currently deciding to buy a Dynam Hawk Sky. Because I've seen that you are currently using one of the planes, I'd like some information.

Is it a suitable airframe with APM? Are there any problems? Any modifications necessary?

I'd be really thankful for the info.

Regards

THE DESTRUCTION CAUSED BY FLOOD 2010

EHD Foundation Education Health Development

THE DESTRUCTION CAUSED BY FLOOD 2010

Pakistan is undergoing a flash flooding never experienced in its recent history. The brutal water has destroyed all the low lying areas in all the four provinces and Gilgit Balitistan. People are quite in pathetic condition and they are in need of food, water, sanitation facilities apart from the rebuilding of houses. According to the official estimates of National Disaster Management Authority, over 18 million people are affected. Hundreds of thousands are still stranded in the water. Almost 1.3 million housing structures are damaged. The people are vulnerable. Al-though many local and international organizations are working to provide immediate relief to the affected people, but it seems to be beyond human capability to manage this gigantic disaster. Still a big number of needy people is in search of the basic amenities of life and they need almost every thing to survive.

ACTIVITIES of EHD FOUNDATION in FLOOD-HIT AREAS:

Activity Sites:

EHD  Foundation has started working in the following areas:

Around 1000 clothes have been distributed among women and children in Charsadda and Nowshera.

Medical Camp

Nowshera Kalan is specially hit by diseases after flood, such as: eye infections, stomach problems, skin diseases etc. The people are really in a pathetic condition. Foregoing, a free medical camp has been arranged there. Around 500 patients benefited from the camp.

Cleanliness Campaign:

The people are facing a great challenge after the flood and that is a threat of epidemics due to severe unhygienic conditions. As there is dirty muddy water all around, most suitable conditions for germs to breed and survive easily, unbearable bad smell of filth and remaining of dead bodies. In a nut shell these areas are not suitable for living a healthy life. Our volunteers are working dedicatedly to clean up the areas and white wash after required spray to kill the harmful insects and germ
